Brian Chikami | Financial Coach

I’ll be real with you growing up, I had no clue when it came to money. It just wasn’t something we talked about at home, and my parents didn’t make it a priority to teach my sister and me the basics. As a father of two young children, I’ll do everything I can to break this cycle of financial illiteracy in my own family.

When I stepped into adulthood, I struggled to figure it out on my own. I signed up for multiple credit cards, took out loans, and financed cars because that’s what the people around me did.

It wasn’t until I was deep into my career managing corporate finances that I finally started applying the same logic to my own finances. That moment changed everything for me I realised I wanted to help others avoid the same confusion I went through.

After spending over a decade working in and coaching personal finance, I’ve seen firsthand how tough managing money can be. I’ve met fathers from all backgrounds, all trying to keep up, drowning in debt, and stressing about how to provide for their kids. It’s made me even more determined to help others.
